DUAL is the governance token of DUAL Finance, a now-inactive DeFi protocol on Solana. It was used to propose changes to protocol parameters and direct treasury funds for incentivization. The only way DUAL ever circulated publicly was through Staking Option exercise, meaning holders had to actively exercise options to acquire tokens rather than receiving them through direct sales or airdrops.
